This new post..i will discuss and give my opinion on this theory. i will also gives my opinion which one i prefer as industrial designe and Why....thus..any comment is also welcome..no cursing ye because this blog also followed by under age reader such as aDdYputra from ad774....huauahuhuuu

ok...lets start!!!!!!
for the intro..brief history about both style.....this is two important style with different ideology in 19th century.........ok...

1st : Vienna Secession

while hang out together, a bunch of artist and designer come out with idea to create a group (if there is a facebook at that time its surely much more easier to create it..hehhehee)...they share same though about art and design scene at that time. they think its should never rely on past influence. thus, they reject the past arts elements and dedicated their ideology for the present and future development......They hoped to create a new style that owed nothing to historical influence. the founder is Gustav Klimt and his fellow friends. their movement motto written on their building is "to every age its art and to art its freedom".they considered as one of the style in art nouveu movement.

2nd :   Adolf Loo's : anti secession

Adolf Loos (1870-1933) ranks as one of the most important pioneers of the modern movement in architecture. Ironically, his influence was based largely on a few interior designs and a body of controversial essay which is "ornaments and crime". he defines that un necessary ornament in design is a 'crime'. He is contra with seccession artist because they put to much ornaments hat unfunctionable and is such a waste for the industry. he demand truth and spirit in the artwork that will make the design much more valuable. he also believe less is more. and he put the function is priority when designing. he is considered as started the idea that spark the art deco movement which influenced others in variety of fields. he had always exposed the ideals of simple and honest design, and therefore he did not compromise with decorative arts, and spark the new style or what we now call  modernism..he felt that putting excessive ornamentation on something would cause it to go out of style more quickly, thus making the effort of decorating it a waste..

this is a simple brief of both style that oppose each other at early 19th century that influence many artist and designer. after this,  i will give how one of the style above has influenced greatly the INDUSTRIAL DESIGN fields history....yeahhhh guys...!!!we will discuss in perspectives as a industrial designer.....we will see how product or furniture design related and refers to one of this influence which is ADOLF LOO'S theory...

to be continue..................................................
